REALIZING THE DREAM: 2009
Monday, January 19, 2009
Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers
New York City, NY
Please join CORE's National Chairman, Roy Innis, nationally syndicated TV host Sean Hannity, singer-actor-activist Pat Boone, former U.S. Senator George McGovern and hundreds of other celebrities and community leaders as the Congress of Racial Equality (CORE) hosts the 25th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Awards Dinner in New York City.
One of the largest events in the country honoring Dr. King , the CORE MLK Dinner brings together diverse elements from the domestic and international community under one umbrella. For twenty-six years CORE has held this splendid gathering to reflect on how far we have come and to commit to even greater progress in the areas of world peace, justice and brotherhood.
CORE also recognizes individuals who, through their words and actions, have helped to further equality. At the 2009 MLK Dinner, CORE will honor a distinguished -- even legendary -- former U.S. Senator who was also a presidential candidate. Also to be honored is a leader in the financial community who has taught thousands of Americans to invest for real value over the long haul, not just trade for a quick - and sometimes imaginary - paper gain.
Come be inspired by great Americans and entertained by talented performers! Join us in Realizing the Dream and awakening to the new reality envisioned by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
